Electronic Billing

SimpleIsUs has the option for you to submit your claims electronically. You must subscribe to a clearinghouse which can receive and forward your claims to the payer. The clearinghouse will bill you separately. However, you can use the print option for printing to your CMS-1500 forms to submit your claim(s) on paper without using a Clearinghouse.  Click here for more information about Electronic Billing with SimpleIsUs.

FreeClaims is our clearinghouse of choice and we have completed testing with them. FreeClaims was chosen because they offer the ability to receive print image files and translate them into HIPAA-compliant format, and then forward them on to the payer. Cost of Using FreeClaims for handling Electronic Bill Submission

At current rates shown on FreeClaims site, a provider who submits 100 Louisiana Medicaid claims can expect to incur a charge of $15.00 for their electronic billing fee from FreeClaims ($0.15 per claim x 100 claims). Agencies must have a subscription to SimpleIsUs for each provider in the organization but will only need one subscription to the Agency Management Tool.
